Stable Hand/Groom
Casual Position – up to 30 hours per week
Award Wages and Penalty Rates Paid
Must be available for split shifts, late shift and weekends
Duties include
- Mucking out stables
- Filling boxes with sawdust
- Emptying, cleaning & filling waters
- Rugging
- Feeding
- Saddling Up
- Sweeping and general cleaning of the stable area
- Handling horses
- Exercising e.g. walking machines, treadmills, hand walking
- Adhere to all Safe Working Practices
- Other duties as requested by the Supervisor
During each shift the Stablehand maybe required to work as part of a team or act autonomously.
You must be physically fit and have your own transport
Experience in a Stables or Thoroughbred Stud an advantage
Horse Experience Essential
