Telemon stud is a thoroughbred stud located in Innisplain, QLD. We are seeking an experienced foal watch attendant to join our team for the upcoming 2023 breeding season.
The job consists of a 10hr shift, working from 8pm – 6am. This is to be on a 10nights on, 4nights off rosta, there is some amount of flexibility available for the right candidate. Senior staff are on call for the shift and available for guidance/assistance if and when needed. Duties include;
- Monitoring mares and foals pre and post foaling.
- Delivering of foals.
- Administration of treatments to mares and foals.
- Cleaning of stables.
- Feeding horses.
It is essential that the applicant if proficient and confident working alone as well as being able to work well in a team. The position is for an approximate 4month period. There is the option to stay on and move into yearling preparation for the 2024 sales season for the right candidate. We are a small, friendly team who provide an excellent working environment.
