Do you love working with horses?

Do you like working in a small close-knit team?

Are you independent?

Horsegenix is a small, family-owned business, located in Priestdale, QLD.  We are looking for people who are passionate about caring for horses of all ages, from foals to elderly horses.  Weekend and public holiday work will be required. Must have a drivers license and own transport.

General tasks will include:

• Handling horses of all ages
• feeding
• bathing & grooming
• tacking up
• bugging
• cleaning stables & yards
• administering medications and basic first aid
• routine health care
• assisting farrier, dentist, chiro, acupuncturist & veterinarian
• waters
• loving our horses like they are your own

Essential Skills:

• enthusiastic & willing to learn
• strong work ethic
• prior horse & foal handling experience
• extreme attention to detail
• reliable & punctual
• able to work alone & in a team
• communication skills
• work with vets, farriers, dentist, chiro & acupuncturist to manage the ongoing welfare of our horses

Immediate start is available:

The successful candidates must also be able to work on a rotating roster system which includes morning or afternoon shifts and some weekends.

Approx hours – 2 positions Morning or Afternoon

Mon – Fri (Mornings): 7am – 11 am

Mon- Fri (Afternoons): 2pm – 6pm
