Horsegenix is a small, family-owned business, located in Priestdale, QLD. We are looking for people who are passionate about caring for horses of all ages from foals to elderly horses. Weekend and public holiday work will be required.
General tasks will include:
- Handling horses of all ages
- Feeding
- Bathing & grooming
- Competition preparation
- Tacking up
- Rugging
- Cleaning stables & yards
- Administering medications and basic first aid
- Routine health care
- Assisting farrier & veterinarian
- Keeping water fill
- Loving our horses like they are your own
Essential Skills –
- Enthusiastic & willing to learn
- Strong work ethic
- Prior horse & foal handling experience
- Extreme attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work alone and in a team
- Communication skills
- Work with stable vets, farriers, dentist, chiro & acupuncturist to manage the ongoing welfare of our horses
Immediate start is available-
The successful candidates must also be able to work on a rotating roster system which includes and morning or afternoon shifts and some weekends.
Approx hours – 3 positions Morning or afternoon
Mon – Fri (Mornings): 6am – 10am-12pm
Mon – Fri (Afternoons): 2pm- 6pm
Well above award wage will be offered to the successful candidates. Also includes all standard inclusions such as superannuation contributions.
Positions will be casual (week days with some competition weekends required). Both morning and afternoon shifts may require more hours due to the needs of the horses.
